Author's Insights: Continuity and Discontinuity

COGNIZANCE OF MY PERSONAL CONTINUITY AND DISCONTINUITY

"As i grew up i came to realize that many things changes and develop because of different circumstances. i was about to infer things or situations that comes up my way as part of how i develop as an individual."

-Mythos Dominguez (2017)

In this section i will discuss my personal experiences that would actually relate to theory in the child psychology regarding the continuity and discontinuity.

CONTINUITY OR DISCONTINUITY?

Many of the readers would actually be curious as to what kind of theory does the author himself/herself consider belongs to. am i in the side of the continuity or discontinuity?

Note: THERE IS NO RIGHT OR WRONG ANSWER AS THE THEORY IS ONLY AN ASSUMPTION

I have already gave the definition of the continuity in the previous section. now let my story begins.

I am second of the four children. growing up, my parents would always care for me and give me the love they told i deserve.
the process of discontinuity occurs when my undertaking of learning began. as i have been stated, discontinuity is a kind of theory in which there are so many step by step process for and individual to develop. say for example the Erik Erikson's theory. the said theory were one of the examples of a discontinuity or step by step process for an individual to develop.
on the other hand, one of the example under the continuity is the information processing theory in which learning in unending process. there is no such thing as a step by step process. meaning you will always have the space for growth and new learning.

LET'S GET STRAIGHT TO IT!
Basically i am in favor of the continuity theory. as i have stated earlier, this is just a theory only. meaning this is merely an assumption or a belief. all that i am going to state here will be based on my own opinion.

Many would ask me as to why I chose the continuity rather than the discontinuity. well it is due to my belief that people develop depending on his/her own physical and emotional attributes. say for example a child who have mental illness such as autism were not be able to attain the stages that has been propose by a certain theory does it mean they do not have the chance to learn more than the others? well for me the answer is no. every individual has the ability to learn and grow by their own way. No stages shall prevent them from obtaining knowledge. learning for me is a continuous process. you cannot just stop because you are not qualified for a certain stage.

"Learning for me is a continuous process. every individual deserves to keep on going even other's will say they are not qualified for certain stages. I believe that continuing even in depths of despair (pertaining to obtaining knowledge) is a must.
